Adding possibility of regex

Hello,

The CatchAllAgent is working beautifully. But I would like to request a feature / or get some pointers if this is already possible within MS Exchange. I would love to see a way to only catch all messages in a certain format (using regex). Something like: ^username_.*@contoso.com$ .

Hi Blogem,

I had exactly the same requirement, so I wrote my own CatchAll Transport Agent that implements regular expressions.

I wrote this because I wanted to implement "firstname.suffix@domain.com" for multiple users.  My agent has different (faster for large sets) XML parsing code, accepts regexp patterns instead of domains, and also implements a "ban list" so you can cause suffixes you previously used to be rejected.  This way if one of your throwawy emails is sold to spammers you can add it to the ban list and never get email sent to that address again - the sender will receive an NDR so the address will appear dead.
